Los Angeles: Comic book writer Stan Lee, the co-creator of superheroes like Spider-Man, the Hulk, Iron Man and Thor, is all set to create and star in a trilogy of animated movies.
The trilogy for the Hub Network will feature his cartoon likeness instructing a bunch of alien superheroes. The movies will also star actors Armie Hammer, Christian Slater, Teri Hatcher, Mayim Bailik, Darren Criss, Sean Astin and Flea as a group of superheroes from outer space, reported Entertainment Weekly. In the story, Lee will be desperately looking for a new comic book idea to create when he happens upon the spaceship`s arrival in desert. "Here I am, the world`s only witness to a spaceship that crashed. As I get closer to it, timidly I might add, I see people getting out of it. They survived the crash. And there are seven aliens. They look kind of human, but each one has a specific super power. What happens is that I ask them if they would let me write about them," Lee said elaborating on the story. The villain will be played by a government agency which is after these superheroes to capture their power. Lee said the idea is unique as this time he is writing about what these seven superheroes do when they crash land on Earth. "I`m just following these guys around and writing what happens. So, it`s never been done before. I`m very proud of this. It`s starting out as some comic books. It will turn into three movies on The Hub Network. And once those three animated movies have appeared, obviously all of Hollywood will be bidding for it to do live action versions and away we go!," he added. Lee said that while he has played cameo in a number of project, he thought it would be fun to have a character. Lee said it would be "the world`s first reality comic book."
