'Kallappadam' selected for two Australian film festivals
Upcoming Tamil film "Kallappadam", a story about how first-timers try and make a film, has been chosen in the foreign feature film category in the upcoming Revelation Perth International Film Festival and the Melbourne Underground Film Festival.

Chennai: Upcoming Tamil film "Kallappadam", a story about how first-timers try and make a film, has been chosen in the foreign feature film category in the upcoming Revelation Perth International Film Festival and the Melbourne Underground Film Festival.
"We are very glad that our film has been selected for the film festivals in Australia. We are very confident that this commercial film's content would interest the jury of the respective film festivals. The film is about youngsters who strive hard for their first opportunity to achieve," director J. Vadivel said in a statement.
"Kallappadam" features the film's director, editor, cinematographer and music composer who play themselves in the movie.
Actress Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli essays an important role as a struggling heroine.
