Los Angeles: Actor Mark Wahlberg is reportedly in talks to star in a film about the Deepwater oil spill.
The 43-year-old `Lone Survivor` star is the front-runner to play a manager in `Deepwater Horizon`, which will be adapted from a New York Times` article about the disaster, reportedly. `Margin Call` director J C Chandor will helm the film, which is slated to begin shooting next year. Eleven people were killed when the Deepwater Horizon Rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010, spilling millions of gallons of oil into the ocean and resulting in the largest spill in US history.
