Oscar 2015 preview: From red carpet fashion to performances - things to watch out for

New Delhi: It is that time of the year again when the red carpet will sizzle with Hollywood stars adorned in their designer best.

This time some fabulous movies are up for the biggest competition of the west.

Here are some things to watch out for in the Academy award function this year.

Neil Patrick Harris: This lad had taken our fancy even as a boy as Doogie Howser. Then again he made it to our hearts as Barney Stinson in 'How I Met Your Mother'. Now, Harris is set to host the award function with his usual wit, charm and we hear magic! A natural on the stage – NPH is surely going to set a high bar.

The fashion at the red carpet: Hollywood's hottest dames will set the red carpet on fire with their best styles from their favourite designers. We want to watch out for Lupita Nyong 'O who has made her presence felt with some fantastic style sense. Scarlette Johanson looked stunning in a LBD so was Emma Stone in Monique Lhuillier in a black mid length black dress at the Independent Spirit Awards. Now let's see what they don at the Oscar 2015 Award function.

The favourites: While 'Boyhood' is touted to be the big winner at the Oscars. The animation awards are leaning towards 'The Lego Movie'. Michael Keaton and Julliane Moore are the favourited for best actor and best actress respectively.

The performers: Apart from performances from the controversial Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, Anna Kendrick and the ever effervescent Jack Black the nominees for the best orginal songs would also be blazing the podium. There are rumours that Neil Patrick Harris may use his magical powers on stage too.
