Minogue to celebrate breast cancer cure

London: Pop star Kylie Minogue is all set to celebrate her victory over breast cancer with a charity concert to mark the fifth anniversary of beating the disease.

The `Spinning Around` hitmaker is drawing up plans for a star-studded concert to raise money for cancer charities and awareness of the condition that she battled so bravely, reported a news website. The event has been scheduled for February and a host of the 42-year-old singer`s friends including Elton John, Robbie Williams and The Scissor Sisters are expected to get on board. The Australian singer even wants to rope in the Paris-based doctor who masterminded her treatment to say thank you for her return to health. "Early next year it will be my five years all clear and I would like to do something to mark that ? something like a benefit concert. We are going to try and arrange something with my professor in Paris," said Minogue. Minogue was diagnosed in May 2004 and when she went public cancer screenings went up a a third in the UK alone. But she refuses to take the credit for it, saying, "I know a lot of women went for screenings after my announcement. And a lot of people came up to me and said I saved them. Of course I didn`t but it made them go and get checked," said Minogue. PTI
