Christmas 2017: Toothsome dishes to eat

Christmas is not complete without a cake, we cannot ditch it. Mostly it is a light chocolate mellifluous cake enriched with fruit and candied peel like raisins, cherries and currants. Candy and chocolate cakes are preferred the most.

New Delhi: Christmas is extra special for food lovers. A wide variety of cakes, cookies and drinks are available to delight your mood and stomach. 

Let's have a look at all the dishes you should not miss out this Christmas. 

Let's start with drinks!

Apple Cider- A non-alcoholic beverage made from apples. The drink is cool enough to refreshen your Christmas Eve. To make your evening more worthwhile, make sure it is made of fine apples.

Rum- Some occasions are incomplete without alcohols. Drinking rum will also keep you warm against the harsh cold weather in December. 

Cakes and Cookies time!

Cookies- Christmas and cookies go well together. Choice of cookies run from gingerbread to sugar and German to gluten-free. Depending upon whether it is a cheat day or diet day, best Christmas cookies one can have are candy cookies, brownie cookies, peanut butter combo, gluten-free double chocolate and gluten-free white chocolate cranberry.

Christmas Cake- Christmas is not complete without a cake, we cannot ditch it. Mostly it is a light chocolate mellifluous cake enriched with fruit and candied peel like raisins, cherries and currants. Candy and chocolate cakes are preferred the most.

Plum Pudding- Contradictory to its name, Plum pudding doesn't contain plums. Enriched with fruits it is a sumptuous pudding which is served across the globe. It is another add-on which makes your day a little more Christmasy.

Pumpkin Pie- Pumpkin pie is a traditional Christmas dessert which is spicy and filled with pumpkin-based custard. Also, it is often eaten during the fall and winter season.

Let's look on the main course now!

Roast Turkey- Apart from treating yourself with so many sweet dishes, you also get to please yourself with Turkeys on Christmas dinner. Eating a turkey includes a lot of benefits, It is a rich source of  protein, iron, zinc, potassium and phosphorus. Also, it is low on fat. Christmas is just incomplete without Turkeys in foreign countries.

Veggies- It is always good to have some space for veggies on your food day. A simple colorful dish on high calorie table is always good to soften the overall mood. Boiled veggies are highly recommended!

Cranberry Sauce- You cannot miss out this item on Christmas. It is a wine colour sauce made out of cranberries, commonly served as a condiment to add flavour to food.
