The woman, who was admitted at Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital, suffered from liver cirrhosis and was need of a transplant as she was in a critical state.

New Delhi: A liver was flown from Bombay hospital in Indore to Mumbai which saved the life of a 62-year-old woman.

The woman, who was admitted at Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital, suffered from liver cirrhosis and was need of a transplant as she was in a critical state.

This is not the first time when an organ has been flown to another city and the doctors have eventually managed to save the life of a patient. 

The same hospital also witnessed a cadaver donation on the same day in which a liver and two kidneys were transplanted into patients.
