Lady cueist Mandeep Kaur is dead

Indian lady cueist Mandeep Kaur, who was last seen in action during the National Billiards and Snooker Championship in Agra, died in a fire accident.

The 42-year-old cueist, who sustained severe burn injuries due to a fire accident at her residence on Saturday, was taken to a private hospital where she breathed her last.She is survived by her husband Joginder Singh, a well-known table fitter in the cuesports circuit, and two children. Mandeep was a very late entrant to cue-sports, but once she picked up the cue, it became her passion.Since a novice, Mandeep always dreamt of emulating her seniors, playing at the centre table or even just winning one frame of a fancied opponent.
