‘Scared’ Man U owners to give a miss to Carling Cup finals

London: Manchester United owners the Glazers have no plans to ever go to Old Trafford again and are all set to not attend Sunday’s Carling Cup final, as opposition to their ownership of the club grows.
The US family has not been to Old Trafford since August and has had to give a week’s notice if they want to attend games so security can be arranged. As of last night, they had still not decided whether to go to Wembley tomorrow, The Sun reports. If they do, it will be by private plane to Gatwick, where they will be taken in blacked-out jeeps to Wembley, the paper added.Fans are angry with the family running up 716 million pounds debt and a recent prospectus said Old Trafford and the Carrington training complex may be sold. The last time the Glazers came to England was for the NFL game at Wembley last October when their team the Tampa Bay Buccs lost to New England. ANI
