JeM, Hizbul terrorists behind Aurangzeb's cold-blooded murder: Intelligence sources

NEW DELHI: Four terrorists – two from Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and two Hizbul Mujahideen – are behind the abduction and cold-blooded murder of Army jawan Aurangzeb, intelligence sources told Zee Media on Friday.
The four terrorists, who kidnapped Aurangzeb at gunpoint, travelled in a Maruti Alto car.
One of terrorists, Jahoor Ahmed Tokar, earlier worked with Indian Territorial Army and hails from Pulwama district. He joined Hizbul in 2017.
The JeM terrorists were both foreigners, informed the sources in intelligence bureau.
Earlier, reports of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) behind the abduction and murder of Aurangzeb emerged. It was further said that the spy agency planned to kidnap and kill the jawan at the behest of the ISI to teach a ''lesson to the Indian security forces''.
The bullet-ridden body of Aurangzeb was recovered from Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, hours after he was abducted by militants on his way home for Eid celebrations.
A video of Aurangzeb believed to be shot moments before his death circulated on scoial media.
Aurangzeb, who was in blue jeans and t-shirt was being asked by suspected Hizbul Mujahideen militants about his duties, posting and encounters in which he participated in 1.15 minutes video probably shot in a forest area, they said.
