Sonipat Lok Sabha Constituency, is one of 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in the Northern state of Haryana and cast its vote in the 2019 election on May 12.

Haryana recorded around 67.35 percent turnout in 10 Lok Sabha seats. 

Bhupinder Singh Hooda of Indian National Congress, Ramesh Chander Kaushik of Bharatiya Janata Party and Surender Kumar Chhikara of Indian National Lok Dal are some of the prominent candidates contesting for Lok Sabha 2019 elections from Sonipat Lok Sabha Constituency of Haryana.

Voting for Lok Sabha election in Haryana was held in a single phase on May 12 and counting will be held on May 23.

Sonipat constituency covers nine assembly segments –  Ganaur, Rai, Kharkhoda, Sonipat, Gohana, Baroda, Julana, Safidon and Jind.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Ramesh Chander Kaushik of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – won by getting a margin of over 77 thousand votes. He had defeated Jagbir Singh Malik of the Indian National Congress (INC). Kaushik had secured 347203 votes while Malik got 269789 votes.
