Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh School Education Minister Vijay Shah has directed all private schools in Satna district to ensure that students answer their roll call with "Jai Hind" instead of the "Yes, Sir/Madam".

Shah said if the experiment is successful, then he would seek permission from Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and order all schools across the state to follow the same.

“For now, this is just a suggestion (for private schools in Satna), we hope they will ll adhere to it since it relates to patriotism,” the MP Education Minister asserted.

The Education Minister made the announcement at a divisional meeting of teachers, principals, Jan Shikshaks and block resource coordinators in Chitrakoot.

The latest diktat comes just days after, the state minister announced that life and teachings of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya will be taught in schools.
