Patna: An upcoming writer's house here was allegedly attacked by members of a particular community accusing him of hurting their religious sentiments.
Satyapal Chandra claimed that some persons targeted his house in Malhari village of Gaya district on the intervening night of July 1 and 2 and shouted slogans, accusing him of hurting their religious sentiments.
Chandra, currently in New Delhi, told PTI that his parents, who live in his Gaya house, lodged a complaint with Imamganj Police Station.
A complaint has been registered under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC against unidentified miscreants, Imamganj SHO R K Pandey said.
Chandra's book "When Heaven Falls Down" is centered around the issue of 'love jihad' and communal conflagrations in the country.
