London: Sergio Aguero will not be among those traveling down to London to play Arsenal in Sunday’s crunch clash.
The Manchester City striker who tore his hamstring in his side’s 3-0 New Year’s Day win over Stoke hasn’t gotten back to full fitness yet and Roberto Mancini doesn’t want to risk him aggravating the injury. In typically Mancini fashion, he explained his decision: “I hope he can play against Fulham. We can’t take a risk with him now. If Arsenal was the last game (of the season), OK. But like this it is impossible.” City will also be without the injured Jack Rodwell and Micah Richards. Samir Nasri is also serving his suspension and won’t be playing. And the Toure brothers, Yaya and Kolo, are out on international duty at the African Cup of Nations. City are 7 points behind league leaders and cross city rivals Manchester United going into this weekend’s big fixtures.
