Sabir Ali joined the BJP earlier today. Ali was expelled from the JD(U) after he had praised BJP`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and made anti-party remarks.
Naqvi said he will convey his protest to the BJP leadership.
Justifying his opposition to the induction, he alleged that Yasin Bhatkal was arrested from Ali`s Mumbai residence some time ago.
He also alleged that Ali`s name had figured in the murder case of noted music magnate Gulshan Kumar.
Late in the night, BJP sources said the party is reconsidering its decision induct Ali. RSS also opposed Ali`s entry and lodged a protest with BJP chief Rajnath Singh.
BJP spokesman Sudhanshu Trivedi said the induction was done on the recommendation of Bihar unit of the party and "further action" in the matter will be taken after "verifying all facts and antecedents" of Ali.
