Dalit woman allegedly raped, neighbour held

Rewari: A Dalit woman has alleged she was raped by her neighbour when she was alone at her parental house in Buroli village, some 15-km from here, police said today.

42-year-old Ajit had been arrested in this connection, they said adding he was produced before a Magistrate who had remanded him in judicial custody. In her complaint, the woman, who was separated from her husband, alleged Ajit, her neighbour, had forcibly entered her parental house in March this year when she was alone and raped her. The woman was staying with her parents after separation from her husband in January this year, police said. A case of rape had been registered against Ajit last Friday. PTI
