Man booked for raping minor in Faridabad

Faridabad: A man was today booked for allegedly raping a minor here, police said.

According to a complaint lodged by the victim`s father, Hari Singh, a resident of Mathura, raped the 12-year-old girl in Sanjay Colony here. Singh used to stay at the house of a relative of the victim where her family, including her brother, had moved after her mother`s death six months ago, it said. The father, who works as a scrap dealer, was away on work on Saturday when Singh called the girl for some reason and raped her, police said. The accused has been booked and investigations are on, they said.
