Chandigarh: Anil Vij, who is among the frontrunners to become the chief minister of Haryana as the BJP prepares to form government in the state, has won from the Ambala Cantt Assembly seat.
Speaking to Zee Media after becoming the first winner from the state, Vij said if given the responsibility to lead the government he will try to do his best.
He, however, added that the party only will decide who will become the CM.
“I don't believe in lobbying,” he stated.
“I have been five-time MLA. I have also been the leader of state legislature party. But, the party will decide on the CM candidate,” Vij said.
“Once all the results are out, then the time for legislature party meeting will be decided,” he added.
