Tenth patient tests positive for swine flu in Indore

With a 40-year-old woman testing positive for swine flu, the number of those infected with the H1N1 virus in the district has gone up to 10, a health official said on Friday.

Indore: With a 40-year-old woman testing positive for swine flu, the number of those infected with the H1N1 virus in the district has gone up to 10, a health official said on Friday.

The woman, a resident of Ramkrishna Bagh colony, was admitted to a private hospital here October 27.

Later, her swab samples were sent for lab testing where it tested positive for swine flu, said Dr G L Sodhi, district unit in-charge of Integrated Disease Surveillance Project.

She is in a serious condition, he said.

This year, ten persons in Indore have so far tested positive for swine flu, out of whom six succumbed to the infection, Sodhi added.
