New Delhi: In a bizarre claim, Muslim Rashtriya Manch, an offshoot of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), claims that cow dung can render atom and hydrogen bombs “ineffective”.

A booklet released by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch further urged Indian Muslims to give up beef.

The booklet ‘Cow and Islam’ claims that radioactivity either does not affect or affects marginally a place that is painted with cow dung.

The booklet calls it a “scientific” claim.

It also claims to gather evidence from the works of Muslim poets, the reigns of Mughal kings, and the Quran to cite that Muslims have shunned beef in the past.

Most Muslim kings had, by choice, prohibited cow slaughter and punished violations, said the booklet.

The book quoted senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar as saying that even the Prophet said that Muslims should avoid consuming diseases in the form of beef. “Common Muslims will enjoy good health. Children and the aged will be saved from diseases. Strength of mind, intellect and character will increase,” says Kumar.
