CRPF jawan commits suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar: A CRPF jawan today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside a camp here.

Constable Sanjay Kumar Yadav, posted with 178th battalion, shot himself dead with his INSAS rifle at a camp in Gulshan Nagar locality of Nowgam, police said. The incident occurred at around 1.30 PM when the jawan was on a sentry duty. The motive behind his taking such an extreme step was not known immediately, police said.
