Militant fires at mini-bus, four wounded in J&K

A suspected militant on Tuesday fired at a mini-bus leaving four persons, including the conductor, wounded in north Kashmir`s Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency which is going to polls on May 7.

Srinagar: A suspected militant on Tuesday fired at a mini-bus leaving four persons, including the conductor, wounded in north Kashmir`s Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency which is going to polls on May 7.
The suspected ultra, travelling in the same mini-bus, deboarded at Sangrama, 50 kms from here, at around 7 pm, a police spokesman said. Soon after disembarking, he fired shots at the mini-bus from his pistol leaving four injured, the spokesman said. A former Hizbul Mujahideen militant identifed as Abdul Khaliq, the bus conductor, a labourer from Bihar and another person were injured in the firing, he said. They were rushed to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable, the spokesman said. The mini-bus was heading towards Baramulla from Pattan, he said.
