Two youth arrested for raping minor

Two youth were arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Pulwaha district of Kashmir, police said.

Srinagar: Two youth were on Wednesday arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Pulwaha district of Kashmir, police said. Aadil Wani and Shahid Manzoor Wani, both residents of Mandakpal in Khrew area of Pulwaha, were arrested after the minor girl lodged a complaint against them, they said.

According to the complaint, the men yesterday allegedly took the victim behind some bushes in nearby paddy fields where they took turns to rape her. A case under Section 376 RPC (rape) has been registered against the accused, police said, adding that the victim has been sent for a medical examination.
