New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday urged voters to turn out in record numbers as balloting took place in the fifth and final phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday urged voters to turn out in record numbers as balloting took place in the fifth and final phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand.

"I urge all those voting in the fifth and final phase of Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand assembly polls to turn out in record numbers and vote," Modi tweeted.

In this phase, voting will be for 20 constituencies of Jammu and Khashmir where over 18 lakh voters are eligible to decide the political fate of 213 candidates.

A total of 2,366 polling stations have been set up.

In Jharkhand, 3,690,069 voters in this phase will decide the political fate of 208 candidates including 16 females. Polling is taking place at 3,773 polling booths.
