Srinagar: A 20-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth from her neighbourhood in the Pahalgam area of south Kashmir`s Anantnag district, police said on Tuesday.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, the accused Mushtaq Ahmad Hajam(20), a resident of Frislan village, sneaked into the girl`s house and raped her on the intervening night between December 31-January 1, SHO Pahalgam Tariq Ahmad said.
Hajam has been arrested, Ahmad said, adding that further probes are on.
