K`taka police constable arrested for sexual abuse

Bangalore: A constable was Wednesday arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a teenaged girl in Bangalore Rural District. An FIR was filed against the City Armed Reserved police constable Chikannappa after the 17-year-old victim lodged a complaint with police yesterday, police said. The victim alleged that Chikkannappa allegedly abused her sexually at Gudmanhalli village last month. The complainant also alleged that another person named Ghanashyam allegedly raped her and is at large, police said. "We are ascertaining his whereabouts," they added. PTI
