Sagar: BJP Vice-President Prabhat Jha claimed here on Sunday that his party would win 27 out of the total 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh.

He said BJP is facing challenge from Congress only in Chhindwara and Guna constituencies, where Union Ministers Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia are respectively in fray.

"BJP will win 27 seats out the total 29 in Madhya Pradesh. We are facing contest from the Congress only in Chhindwara and Guna," Jha, who arrived here to campaign for the party candidate, Laxminarayan Yadav told reporters.

Congress has fielded former MLA Govind Singh Rajput from Sagar Lok Sabha constituency, which falls in backward Bundelkhand region.

Jha said his party will easily win Bhind Lok Sabha seat, where the saffron party has fielded Dr Bhagirath Prasad, who joined the BJP a day after being nominated from Congress for the seat. Congress had later fielded Imarti Devi from Bhind to challenge Prasad.

He claimed that Congress is going through a very difficult phase, because of which even its MLAs were quitting the party by risking their own seats.
