Shahdol: Even as a nine-year-old girl from the area continues to battle for her life after being gang-raped, another shocking case of a six-year-old girl being reportedly raped and murdered in the same area came to light on Friday. The incident took place when the six-year-old victim was abducted from near her house. When the girl did not return home by evening, the family went to the police to report her missing, as per a news report. When a search for the girl was made, her body was found near a pond the next morning. The post-mortem report of the girl has confirmed rape, the report states. The police are investigating the case and the uncle of the victim is now being questioned as she was last seen with him.
