Mumbai: A notorious group of robbers known as 'Chaddi Baniyan' gang – most likely because of their unique attire - have been nabbed by the Mumbai Police.
On Sunday night around 3 o'clock, the security officials received a call made by a senior citizen couple who were attacked by the 'Chaddi Baniyan' gang in there flat in Boribali area here. Later, police informed that it was a case of robbery, according to India Today.
The report further said that on seeing the cops, the gang attacked them with stones and firearms in which three policemen sustained injuries.
In retaliation police also fired on them and one of their gang-member was injured and three others were caught. The search operation for the rest are on, the report added.
