Kolhapur: Former Congress MP Udaysingh Gaikwad passed away at a private hospital here on Tuesday.
Gaikwad, 84, was ailing for the last few days, family sources said.
He became an MLA in 1962 from Shahuwadi in the district and later became a minister in Maharashtra government.
He was elected to the parliament for the first time in 1980s.
