Mumbai: Your dream to own a house in Mumbai may come true soon as Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is all set to begin sale of thousands of low-cost homes in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

Number of flats: 4,275
Location: 183 flats in Thane (164 in Kavesar, 19 in Balkum), Mira Road (310), Virar (3,755), Vengurla (27)
Price: Houses suiting all pockets will be available – they are priced between Rs4.37 lakh and Rs40.93 lakh
Size: The size for the low income flat is around 368 sq feet while that of the middle income flat is approximately 670 sq feet.
How to book:
Register online starting January 13 (Wednesday)
Earnest money of Rs 5,300 Rs 10,300 to be paid for low income, middle income house at the time of booking.
Lottery will be held on February 24 at Rangsharada auditorium in Bandra
MHADA will hand over the flats to by April
Any house on sale in Mumbai?
MHADA will hold a separate lottery for sale of 1,700 to 1,800 houses within Mumbai.
