Potsdam: Challenges in the cyberspace will be high on the agenda of traditional Russian-German Potsdam meetings, which will open in the administrative centre of Brandenburg on Monday.
During the two-day meeting, which the well-known German non-governmental organization German-Russian Forum organised, politicians, scientists, cultural personalities and representatives of the public society from both countries will discuss the problems for the protection of copyrights, ethical, social and other issues, which are related with the Internet development.
The conference will be held under the patronage of German President Joachim Gauck and the authorities of the Brandenburg Federal Land.
Along with the debates, literary readings, which already became traditional, will be held.
Russian essayist and literary scholar Alexander Arkhangelsky will present his book "Hero of the Second Level" and German author Christoph Koch will present his book "I`ll be Offline for a While" at the Potsdam meetings.
The German-Russian forum is a public initiative, which should contribute to the development of bilateral relations.
Prominent politicians, economists, figures of science and culture and journalists will participate in the forum.
The activities of the German-Russian forum, which organises conferences, discussions, creativity contests and other events, is very diversified and shows how important German-Russian partnership is for all layers of society.
