`Kabul blast near US embassy was an accident, not a terror act`
The blast reported near the headquarters of International Security Assistance Force in Kabul on Thursday was a result of an accident in Afghan arms depot, report said.

Kabul: The blast reported outside the headquarters of International Security Assistance Force, near US embassy in Kabul on Thursday was a result of an accident in Afghan arms depot and not a terror, reports said.
The blast heard on Thursday was caused by an accidental detonation of the explosives recovered from insurgents.
Accoding to Afghanistan`s National Directorate of Security, the inadvertent detonation of explosives was triggered by an electrical fault, said a news agency.
Earlier, the ISAF confirmed the blast on it twitter account saying, "We can confirm an explosion outside of ISAF HQ around 1020 (am), no other information at this time."

However, clarifying that there was no more danger, the ISAF tweeted later that it was resuming its operations.

The blast came just a day after a suicide bomber detonated his car near Kabul airport targeting foreign troops’ convoy. The convoy targeted were that of German troops, but there were no casualties.
