Islamabad: At least five suspected militants were killed and 10 injured Friday when forces targeted hideouts in Pakistan`s Khyber Agency.
According to officials, artillery and mortars were fired in the Sipah and Akakhel areas, Dawn online reported.
Sipah is a known stronghold of Lashkar-i-Islam (LI) while Akakhel too has a sizeable militant presence.
Pakistan`s military launched the operation "Khyber-1" last month with air strikes against LI hideouts.
