Rameswaram: A 20-member-gang managed to snatch away 150 kg of sea cucumbers seized by a team of wildlife officials from a farm at Vedalai village and escape, police said.
The wildlife officials, led by Wildlife Warden Ramalingam, raided the farm owned by one Kasim Maraikkayar and seized 150 KG of sea cucumbers. However, the gang pounced on the officials? team and forcibly took away the sea cucumbers.
Mandapam police registered a case and were searching for the farm owner and others.
