This is how Indrani Mukerjea is spending her days in police lockup

Mumbai: Once used to luxurious ways, Indrani Mukerjea's life in police lockup is far from it.

As per media reports, Indrani has been given a mat and a blanket to sleep in her cell.

And, she has only one window in her cell and that too high above.

Also, the room has no fan.

For breakfast she is reportedly served tea and vada pav and rice, vegetable and dal for lunch and dinner.

Indrani's lawyers had asked for home made food for her but the Mumbai Police objected to it saying that there was a chance of her being poisoned.

Meanwhile, former Star India CEO Peter Mukerjea's statement was today recorded in the Sheena Bora murder case by police which is understood to have quizzed his wife Indrani and the other two accused in his presence.

Mukerjea reached the Khar police station here at 10.30 AM to record his statement, as per PTI. 

Indrani, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai, who were allegedly involved in the murder were also brought there.

The police are understood to have questioned the three accused in the presence of Peter and their counsel in perhaps the first such confrontation since Indrani was arrested on August 24 for allegedly murdering Sheena and hiding her body in 2012.

Indrani Mukerjea is accused of killing Sheena, her daughter from an earlier relationship in 2012 with the help of her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai.
