15-year-old girl kidnapped, gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh

Ballia: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by four persons in Bansdeeh area, police said here on Tuesday.

The accused have been arrested.

The victim was kidnapped by four youths when she had gone out to call her mother from a nearby temple on Sunday night. The youths later gang-raped her at a secluded place, they said.

Perturbed with the incident, the girl attempted suicide, but was saved by the family members, police said.

On the complaint lodged by the victim`s mother, police has lodged an FIR against Devendra Kumar, Shyam Lal, Manoj Kumar and Amresh Kumar last night.

All the accused have been arrested this morning, incharge SP Ashok Tripathi said.
