Body of teenage boy from UP exhumed as family alleges murder

Body of a 15-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh, who was allegedly killed by parents of a girl from their native place in Mumbai, was exhumed for investigation, police said Monday.

Thane: Body of a 15-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh, who was allegedly killed by parents of a girl from their native place in Mumbai, was exhumed for investigation, police said Monday.

Body of Abhishek Yadav was found dumped in an isolated place in Vasai in the district on Sunday in a highly decomposed condition, a police officer said.

"The body was found about 100 metres from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in forest area and was buried on Sunday evening itself," said inspector Narayan Patil of Waliv police station.
According to Station House Officer, Kurla GRP, a case under section 363 of IPC (punishment for kidnapping) was initially registered against the parents of the girl`s family, but with the recovery of Yadav`s body the police have added section 302 (punishment for murder) of IPC against them.

"The body was disinterred on Tuesday evening on the request of the family members of the deceased and is sent to J J Hospital for postmortem," Patil said.
After lodging a complaint against Yadav for kidnapping the girl (19) from Jaunpur, the parents of the girl allegedly followed him to Mumbai and murdered him after abducting him, the SHO said.

Police are yet to make any arrest in this connection.
