Bulandshahr gang-rape: Mother says daughter was bleeding, but doctor didn't believe

Lucknow: The father of the minor girl, who was gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, has slammed the police and the doctors for their shoddy behaviour.

The distressed father, who is a cab driver by profession said, “We were looted and beaten and we all know what they did to my daughter.” He threatened to commit suicide along with his family, if the culprits are not brought to justice.

Speaking exclusively to NDTV, the 35-year-old woman, who was sexually assaulted by the bandits accused the doctor of not believing in their story even when her daughter was bleeding and she herself had bruises on her body.

The dacoits had brutally raped the woman and her daughter at gunpoint after dragging them out of a car in Bulandshahr on NH-91 when they were travelling with their family from Noida to Shahjahanpur.

"There were seven-eight men. They tied our hands and feet and beat us. They kept beating us even when we begged for water or we made any movement," the 39-year-old man said, alleging that they did not get any help on dialing police control room number 100.

Despite arrest of three suspects, there seems to be no headway in the investigation into the gang-rape of a woman and her teenaged daughter on NH-91 last week even though Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had announced that the case would be cracked within 24 hours.
