UPSRTC officer roughed up by private taxi owners

Faizabad (UP): Private taxi owners roughed up Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) officer when he tried to stop the illegal operation of unauthorised taxis from Faizabad bus depot.

Talking to PTI, assistant regional manager of UPSRTC Ram Taut told that after he raised objection over illegal operation of private unauthorized taxi owners at Faizabad depot gate, they roughed me up and tried to hit me by one of their vehicles.

Faizabad SP City, R S Gautam, told PTI that police have arrested a person in this connection and case has been lodged.
