Vicky Tyagi murder case: UP Police seeks custody of juvenile

Muzaffarnagar The police have sought the custody of a juvenile, accused in the murder of gangster Vicky Tyagi, for more interrogation.

The custody was sought yesterday and Chief Judicial Magistrate Narender Kumar has fixed February 23 as the date for issuing orders in this connection, police said.

An armed juvenile who had entered a courtroom here masquerading as a lawyer, mortally shot Vicky Tyagi, an alleged gangster multiple times on February 16.

The juvenile was arrested from the spot the same day and has been sent to jail. Brijbir Singh, another accused in the case was nabbed on February 17 and remanded to judicial custody till March 2.

A case has been been registered against several other people including SP Anuj Choudhry, SHO Titawi Sachin Malik and constable Vikas in the incident.

Tyagi was facing trial in the 2011 Barakali murder case in which 8 persons of a family were killed.
