Kolkata: A fire broke out in a slum near Kumartoli park, in the northern part of the city famous for clay idols damaging a hosiery unit.
Fire department officials said the fire broke out at 7.58 am and five fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
The fire was brought under control shortly, the officials said adding none was injured.
