Suri: A woman, stated to be a relative of a BJP activist wanted in connection with a bomb attack case, on Sunday filed charges of forcibly being taken to police station by cops following a raid at her Ilambazar residence in Birbhum district.

In his complaint Seikh Sabur, husband of the woman, said the police took away his wife, Haitunneshwa Bibi from her parent's house in Kalmadanga village under Ilambazar police station last night after failing to trace BJP activist Mithun Seikh, allegedly Bibi's nephew.

Birbhum SP Alok Rajoria said, "I have learnt about the complaint. If the charges are found to be true appropriate action will be taken against those who will be found guilty."

Seikh had been on the run after being named in FIR by TMC for the recent bomb attack on Asgar Ali, son of TMC leader Mustafa Hossain at Sattor bus stand few days back.

Bibi, who pleaded ignorance about the whereabouts of her nephew Seikh, was later allowed to leave.
