Aus man walks away with minor injuries from burning plane

Melbourne: A 50-year-old man today miraculously survived a plane crash and walked out from the burning wreckage with minor injuries in south Australia.

Emergency crews were called to Gawler Airfield at about 3:15pm (local time) after a light plane had crashed and caught fire in Adelaide.

The home-built aircraft lost power during take-off and crashed at the end of the runway before bursting into flames, the officials at County Fire Service said.

About 50,000 Australian dollars in damage was caused to the plane in the incident. The man is being treated for the injuries.
