New Delhi: After outgunning Barcelona's Lionel Messi to the Ballon D'Or title, Real Madrid's star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo caused a minor stampede of sorts in the Spanish capital when he went the extra mile to surprise a young fan.

Sure to cause a traffic jam if he stepped on Madrid's streets in his normal avatar, Mirror reported that Cristiano dressed up as a 'homeless beggar' with an unkept moustache, ragged locks of hair and a hoodie.

Reports said that Ronaldo walked up to the young fan at the busy Plaza de Callao in downtown Madrid and then took off the disguise to reveal his true identity.

Perhaps a hug from the star footballer would have been too much for the dumstruck boy who was too stunned to react properly, but the Real Madrid marksman also gifted his fan an autographed football.

A video of this stunt, caught on camera by Spanish singer Juan Pena, has gone viral on the web.
