Aamir Khan attends Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards 2017, gets honoured for 'Dangal'!

New Delhi: Bollywood' Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan is known for his strict policy of 'not attending' any awards function. But you all will be surprised to know that the superstar actually made an exception for Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards 2017 which he attended recently.

Every year the awards are given to those artists who have brilliantly performed in the year gone by. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar honours her father every year at the awards function which are named after the veteran Marathi theatre actor, and renowned classical vocalist.

This year Aamir Khan got awarded for his outstanding performance in 'Dangal' as Mahavir Singh Phogat. The film not only created history but also has been etched as the superstar's best performance till date.

The powerful portrayal of wrester Mahavir Singh Phogat clicked with the audiences and his journey of teaching daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat is truely inspirational. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat presented the Dinanath Mangeshkar Award 2017 to Aamir for his exemplary work in 'Dangal'.

Veteran Bollywood actress Vyajanthimala was also honoured at the event.
