Devdas actress Ava Mukherjee passes Away At 88

New Delhi: Ava Mukherjee, the veteran actress who played Shah Rukh Khan's grandmother in Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Devdas, has passed away at the age of 88, as per reports. 

Last seen in Detective Naani (2009), the actress also played the role of a grandmother in Darna Zaroori Hai. 

The late actress began her acting career with Bengali film Ram Dhakka, directed by Taru Mukherjee in the year 1966 and was also one of the most recognisable faces in the Indian advertisement industry.
