Mallika Sherawat evicted from her apartment in Paris? Here's the truth

New Delhi: A few months ago actress Mallika Sherawat made headlines owing to an alleged rented apartment in Paris. As per the latest reports the actress was asked to evict the flat by French Court as she failed to pay rent. 

However, Mallika took to Twitter to refute all rumours. She clarified once again that she neither owns an apartment nor has taken one on rent in Paris.

She wrote-

"I hv said it before & I am saying it again, I DO NOT OWN or RENT any apt in Paris!! I have been in Los Angeles & India since last 8 months, I DO NOT live in Paris,pls do not spread false rumours !"

As per the report, The couple began renting the apartment in the pricey 16th district on January 1, 2017, for a monthly sum of 6,054 euros.

But according to the owner, they never paid the rent, making only a single payment of 2,715 euros. At a hearing in a Paris court on November 14, a lawyer for the couple said they were in financial difficulty.

The lawyer emphasised the "irregular" nature of Sherawat`s work -- an argument dismissed by the owners of the apartment who claimed she had earned tens of millions during the rental period.

Neither Sherawat nor Auxenfans replied to AFP's request for comment.
