Meet Airbus A380: World's Largest Passenger Airplane & Only Full-Length Double-Deck Jet: IN PICS

The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger aircraft with a full-length double deck. A total of 254 airframes were built before production came to an end.

The airframe boasts a service ceiling of 13,000 feet, a max payload of 84 tonnes, a cruising speed of 903 kmph, and a range of 14,800 km.

Powering the Airbus A380 are four Trent 972-84/972B-84 engines. However, select airframes are using Engine Alliance GP7270.

The Airbus A380 is 72.72 m long and 7.14 m tall. It has a wingspan of 79.75 m, while the wing area measures 845 sq m.

All Nippon Airlines operated flights via Airbus A380 from Japan to Hawaii and more routes. The airlines also opted for a sea turtle livery.

For Dubai Expo, a special paint scheme was used on an Airbus A380 airframe.

Airbus also announced to build the A380-F, a freighter version of the jumbo jet. However, it never went into production.

Airbus finished producing the final fuselage of the A380 in September 2020, and on 17 March 2021, the aircraft manufacturer delivered the last Airbus A320 to Emirates
