Shiney Ahuja confesses to raping his 18-yr-old housemaid: Report

Mumbai, June 17: After maintaining that he had consensual sex with his housemaid, Shiney Ahuja has finally confessed to committing the horrendous act of raping his 18-year-old domestic help on Sunday afternoon at his Mumbai residence. The actor broke down after the medical reports confirmed that the maid has been raped. During interrogation, the actor told the Mumbai police that he has committed a ‘grave mistake’ stating ‘the maid resisted but he forced her into it’. In police remand on the charges of raping and threatening his housemaid, Shiney, who was till yesterday the most promising star of Bollywood proved to be villain in real life as he confessed to the police that he had forced his maid to have a physical intercourse with him. Breaking down the actor confessed to the crime by saying, “The maid resisted but I forced her into it. I told her that she should stay mum. I was confident that she would not tell anyone of the incident and I was ready to give her whatever she wanted to make sure that she would keep quite. I have made a grave mistake." The actor, who was presented before the court on Monday had been sent to police remand till 18th June under the order issued by Andheri Court. Presently in Oshiwara police station, which is incidentally right opposite his residence, Shiney is said to be in a remorseful state. But if you thought that his present emotional breakdown coupled with celebrity status would have softened the police stand, there is news. The actor had spent his first night in prison with 16 others in the cell. According to reports, he hasn’t eaten anything and is keeping mum. Earlier, his wife Anupam claimed that her husband was being framed as she came out in his defence. Many Bollywood personalities showed their support towards the actor but now with the actor’s confession, there is popular hostility towards him. Meanwhile, the cops said Ahuja appeared to be remorseful during interrogation. "He is completely shattered and is repenting for what he had done," Assistant Police Commissioner Dilip Suryavanshi said.
